Greyhounds & Behavior

Is your dog trying to tell you something? If you have any concerns ranging from general questions to specific problems you are not sure how to deal with, please email Elaine elaine@goinghomegreyhounds.org

  • Are you having house breaking problems?
  • Has the transitional period brought up some questions not discussed during the adoption consult?
  • Does your greyhound howl or mess in its crate?
  • Is your dog destroying things in the house and/or crate?
  • Does your greyhound not want to eat all of a sudden?
  • Is there something "just not right", but you can't figure it out?

If any of these things sounds familiar, please contact us. You can also refer to our Health and Behavior section to read Lilian Akin's "Greyt Behavior Tips" column. Lilian writes for our Greyhound Gazette and we have posted all her topics in alphabetical order so every greyhound owner can benefit from them at any time. We are here to help in all matters, big and small. Not every greyhound has read the manual about how they are "supposed" to behave, so sometimes it takes teamwork to figure them out. Please don't wait until a small problem turns into a big one. We are here for you!
