What your donation covers (Our Part):

• Complete Physical
• Spay or neuter
• Full ultrasonic dentistry
• All vaccinations
• Blood testing for heartworm, lyme titer and erlichiosis exposure
• Treated for intestinal parasites
• Flea and tick bath
• Health examination
• Monthly application of flea product (Frontline Plus) and monthly Heartworm preventative (Interceptor)â
• Muzzle, Going Home Greyhounds name tag for collar, New Owner Guidelines, and subscription to Greyhound Gazette Newsletter are also included with your adoption donation

Post adoption follow-up care (Your Part):

• Continue monthly heartworm preventative (Heartguard or Interceptor)
• Continue with monthly flea treatment (Advantage or Frontline)
• Recheck stool sample for parasites 4-5 weeks after initial treatment
• Teeth care (routine brushing and dentals done by your vet as needed)
• Keep vaccinations updated (yearly or every 3 years depending on vaccine)
• Keep nails trimmed
• Any emergency care needed post adoption

Items needed separate from your adoption donation (Your Part):

• Martingale (or humane choke) collar with leash ($15 for set through GHG)
• Food bowls and/or elevated food stand
• Crate (GHG will advise type and least expensive source)
• Dog bed and crate pad or blankets
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Nail clippers
• Name and address tag for dogs collar
• License through your county
• Toys
• Food and treats
• Grooming supplies (glove or brush, shampoo, etc.)
