Maddie is such a snuggler that she tried to crawl into my lap as we were driving home! When meeting to pick her up, we opened the door to find her cuddled on the front floor of the truck on the passenger side between someone's legs! She just turned 2 and is very calm for her age, not jumpy at all. And, within the first few minutes of being in the house, she already started to watch tv...even went up to sniff it to see where the dogs were coming from! She is much prettier in real life than her pictures portray to her be...

Maddie has been in foster care for 3 weeks now and is really enjoying her retirement...Ok, she's a young "retiree" of 2, but a retiree none the less! This baby is one sweet girl. In my opinion she has it all...beauty, brains and personality. She likes nothing more than to climb into your lap and get some loving, although that can be challenging in the car when you don’t have help! We haven't had the heart to tell her she's not a lap dog so she continues to think she's "mini Maddie".

She loves to play with the other dogs out in the yard, but she is pretty calm for her young age. She recently discovered the joy of toys and gently nibbles on them. If they squeak, that's an added bonus and she nibbles faster. Maddie is currently living with her 6 foster greys, a yappy IG and several kitties and takes it all in stride. Most days she is around our 2 yr old grandson and has put up with his toys and noise, although she was a little leery of him at first. She will now come up to him and lean on him for attention. Maddie is used to a fenced yard and is hesitant to potty on leash. She gets a little nervous (whiney) when I leave the room, even with the other dogs around. I believe she will be happier in a home with at least another dog to buddy up with, where she will not be left alone for too many hours and with someone who can help her build her confidence in a positive way. She's not dominant and prefers to be a follower instead of a leader. The few times she tried counter surfing a quick "no no" or an "uhuh" makes her stop in her tracks. In a nutshell, Maddie is an extremely sweet, smart and loving girl who will bring her new family so much joy, just as she had done to ours!
